2017 Volvo S60 Review, Release and Changes
Volvo S60 is designed as a replacement for the Volvo S70 and has seen only one change of generations since its debut 16 years ago. That the second generation came in 2010, with new styling taking advice S60 from Volvo ECC Concept and Volvo S80. Fresh appearance at the time, but today it is starting to look a bit aged, and it's time Volvo steps of the game and ushered in a new generation. So far, we have not heard anything about it, but for the 2016 Volvo released a special edition of premium midsize sedans.
Björn Annual, senior vice president of marketing, sales, and customer service for Volvo, said, "The S60 and V60 are the car driver." Our focus with Model Year 2017 Edition is to take the concept of winning this even further with a combination of design features fresh. So, what he is basically saying is that instead of designing a new generation model to model six years, Volvo decided to offer a special edition which has several options as standard equipment. Not that it is necessarily a bad thing, but after six years fresher look to be fun. Some small changes going on inside out. Some new wheels and new body colors available for the exterior and some things to talk about on the inside. So, with that said, let's see what we know about the 2017 Volvo S60 Edition and what will make it stand out in the lineup. For those of you who are interested in Volvo wagon, five-door V60 Estate also received the same treatment - you can read about that model here. Remember the Blue Mussel and Luminous Sand body color choices available in the Volvo S90, Volvo V90, and Volvo XC 90 Volvo XC colors are now available in the S60, if you opt for the 2017 S60 Edition. To help set out a new color, front, and rear bumpers have received gloss black insert. The radiator grill has been revised to include the chrome inserts on the horizontal bar. You will also find that the retractable side mirrors come standard on the S60 Edition, and to the rear, the exhaust outlets integrated into the rear fascia insert. To complete the exterior, the 2017 Volvo S60 Edition comes with two choices of new wheelsets - a set of 17-inch rollers Rodinia, and a set of 18-inch wheels Tucan.
Inside, the 2017 Volvo S60 comes standard with sports seats wrapped in leather beige to off-black or soft. Accents new leather upholstery is the new black headliner. The interior comes standard will Milled Aluminium trim, but Piano Black is also available as an option. Something tells me that the package is the best-looking seat off-black, and Piano Black trim - a combination that will match the standard black headliner. The milled aluminum trim may be better suited with seating in soft cream, with black headliner in place as contrast feature. In addition to these features, the steering wheel can be optioned with a built-in heater and comes standard with contrasting stitching and a grove. contrast stitching can also be found on the boot gear shifter on the center console. According to Volvo, this new feature adds a "splash dynamism" to S60, while at the same time adds to the luxurious feel inside and out. Volvo S60 does not tell us what these new Edition trim models are based on, but it's probably safe to assume that it is based on a model basis, T5 trim comes with 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque on tap. That will put a price somewhere in the range of $ 37,000 if you include price increases for additional new features.

Then again, maybe Edition is available in T5 and T6 trim levels throughout the lineup, which means there will be a price increase of $ 2,000 to $ 3,000 over the standard price of each trim available. Volvo S60 is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive and offers 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque in Drive-E FWD T5 and T5 Inscription from Drive-E FWD. Moving up to the T5 AWD AWD or T5 Inscription will provide 250 horsepower and 266 pound-feet on tap. Drive-E FWD T6 and T6 Drive-E AWD R-Design comes with 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the range-topping S60 Polestar comes with the decent output of 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
